River Bell is sixth generation grey roan on her maternal side, and a reflection of the long-standing love affair WoodsEdge has had for breeding greys. River Bell’s maternal great grandsire was Fitzpatrick, our first high dollar grey herdsire. Fitzpatrick, a third generation grey himself, was a line bred grandson of the legendary Bask. The fleece qualities of his offspring were so highly regarded, they remain a cornerstone of some of our grey lines today. Add to this maternal package, the pedigree of Racing River, whose Bolivian sire is the dark silver grey, Platinum Plus, and you can easily see the depth of fleece quality River Bell represents.
