How is My Llama Scored at the Keuring?
The linear score sheets are used by the Keuring
Inspectors to rank the llama against the SLA Breed Standard.
This scoring method assigns points to individual
characteristics of fiber, conformation, movement and
phenotype.

There are 100 points possible on the SLA Suri
Fiber Score Sheet. The llama must attain a minimum of 55 fiber
points to continue the Keuring Inspection for conformation
and movement and gain entry into the Suri Llama Registry.
Bloodstock animals will not be scored for fiber or phenotype.
There are 100 points possible on the SLA Conformation, Movement
and Phenotype Score Sheets. The suri llama must attain a minimum
of 126 of the 200 combined points from fiber, conformation,
movement and phenotype to receive a Keuring award in recognition
of quality.
There are 100 points possible on the SLA Bloodstock Conformation
and Movement Score Sheet. The bloodstock llama must attain
a minimum of 55 points to be included in the SLA Bloodstock
Registry.
