Recognizing and Giving Value to Suri Producers for the SLA Bloodstock Registry.

The SLA Bloodstock Registry serves to recognize and add value to those non-suri llamas who, when bred to a suri llama, produce phenotypically suri offspring. It will also aid in the process of improving the quality of suri llamas by scoring the sires or dams of new suri offspring against the SLA conformation and movement Breed Standard. All Bloodstock must be ILR registered as llamas.

Bloodstock will not be inspected for fiber. They must pass the conformation and movement inspection with a minimum of 55 points. Once this has been achieved the llama will be entered into the SLA Registry as Bloodstock and will receive a Certificate.
